For more than 150 years, Masonic Homes Kentucky has been dedicated to individuals and families dealing with life’s challenges. It has grown from a home for widows and orphans to a multi-campus care provider for people of all ages.
In 1867, Kentucky Masons established the first Masonic home of its kind, where widows and orphans of Masons received housing, meals, clothing and health care. Today, it offers daily living and specialized services to people of all ages, regardless of affiliation, on two campuses located in Louisville and Northern Kentucky.
As a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Masonic Homes Kentucky offers all levels of care on its Louisville Campus including independent living, assisted living, personal care, memory care, short- and long-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation. In addition, it is home to the region’s only Prescribed Extended Care Center (PPEC), Sproutlings Pediatric Day Care & Preschool at Kosair for Kids Center. Sproutlings fully integrates both medically fragile and typical students in a safe, inclusive learning environment.
The community remains committed to its original mission of caring for Masons and their loved ones through various charitable care programs including Masonicare and Kentucky Compass.
Masonicare provides affordable housing and care to Masons, their wives or widows, whose needs are greater than their means and meet specific guidelines.
Kentucky Compass is a program offering help to Kentucky Masons and others with aging care counseling from Masonic Homes Kentucky’s key counselors and resources to help navigate the best care throughout Kentucky.
Masonic Homes Kentucky is committed to maintaining a strong relationship with Masonic Lodges through its Fraternal Relations department. With the support of state and regional Ambassadors, the team visits Lodges regularly to help keep fellow Masons informed of Masonic Homes Kentucky’s happenings and provide presentations on its various service programs and fundraising initiatives.
