Grand Master

Floyd H. Booth
Most Worshipful Grand Master
Grand Lodge of Kentucky
1989-1990

Our Most Worshipful Grand Master, Floyd Booth was born in Oldham County, Kentucky to parents George Arthur and Nannie Mae (Kelley) Booth on October 16, 1925. He was educated in the Louisville, Kentucky grade school and Austin, Indiana grade and high school. Brother Booth was married to Anna Rose McKinney at Louisville, Kentucky, July 26, 1947. They have a daughter, Rose Anna Booth born September 28, 1965. Mrs. Booth not withstanding some health problems has traveled extensively with Brother Booth and if you had the opportunity to attend the Grand Masters Reception in November 1989, you know of the extreme love, devotion and support that Anna Rose and Rose Anna have for our Grand Master. He would readily verify that without them, he could not have accomplished all that he did. Brother Booth served in the Navy in World War II. He is a (retired) Supervisor, Maintenance, from B. F. Goodrich Chemical Company. His second vocation was masonry, which you will agree when you see the years of service listed below. Brother Booth was affiliated with Ninth & O Baptist Church, May 9, 1948. He is an ordained Deacon and has served as Sunday School Director, Teacher and Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee. The zeal and love for Our Savior and His Church is manifested in his Masonic teachings. Knowledge of the great light of Masonry even before he became a Mason has proven to be a great asset to our Grand Master. Brother Booth has brought wisdom, dignity truth, honor and fortitude to the office of Grand Master. As you enter our Fraternity as an Entered Apprentice you will not find a better Masonic teacher and when your labors are over and you are laid beneath the silent clods of the valley, you will not find a better Masonic preacher. We thank God that the Masonic biography of our Most Worshipful Grand Master is not complete. Masons will continue to learn and gather wisdom through further association with him. It is my sincere hope and prayer that sufficient information has been provided herein to enable all Masons of Kentucky to appreciate the faithful discharge of your duties as Grand Master. You have greatly honored Plumb Lodge, and we appreciate you very much.
