Grand Master Rogers was born in Dayton, Kentucky, February 10, 1940. He is the son of Joseph E. Rogers and the late Ruth F. Rogers and has one sister, Mrs. JoAnn Weaver of Richmond, Kentucky. He has two daughters, Mrs. Debra Fousek of Warrenville, Illinois, Mrs. Terri L. Trumbo of Newport, Kentucky and one son, Michael W. Rogers of Phoenix, Arizona. Brother Rogers married the late Susan C. Staubitz, September 4, 1959 and Charlene L. Baldinger on March 26, 1983. Brother Rogers has six grandchildren; Kristin, Kevin and Kelley Fousek: Alexandra, Tyler and Benjamin Trumbo. Brother Rogers is a fourth generation Kentucky Mason of a Masonically involved family. His father is a past Master of Ft. Thomas No. 808, past District Deputy Grand Master, past Worthy Patron of Ft. Thomas O.E.S. No. 269, and past District Deputy Grand Patron. His grandfather, Elliott C. Rogers, and great grandfather, Commodore Rogers, were members of Irvine No. 137. His mother was a past Worthy Matron of Ft. Thomas O.E.S. No. 269 and his stepmother, Mrs. Marjorie E. Rogers is a charter member, past Matron and 57 year member of Florence O.E.S. His uncle, George W. Fisher, is a past Master of Ft. Thomas No. 808, past presiding officer of Ft. Thomas Chapter R.A.M., Jeffries Council R.&S.M., Newport Commandery No. 13, Knight York Cross of Honor, recipient of the General Grand Chapter Medal for Meritorious Service and member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Covington. Brother Rogers is to be heartily congratulated for a job well done and for the dignity with which he has served. His education, work, community service and Masonic history follow.
